As a member of PHCC each family has committed to be an active participant in the operations of the preschool. Each family will be responsible for the execution of one job for the school year. Below is a list and summary of each available job. Each job is an essential part of the successful operations of the school.  

Executive Board Positions: The operations of PHCC are managed by a voluntary group of members who come together throughout the school year to discuss and make decisions in the best interest of all members. The following board positions are available each year. Please consider joining the Executive Board.

President-Executive Board Member – 1
Preside at all Parent and Executive Board Meetings; appoint all special committees; prepare teacher contracts; prepare monthly newsletter; refer to and complete monthly to do lists as outlined in the Presidential Binder; must be available to work regularly in cooperation with Teacher(s) and Executive Board Members to organize and coordinate all preschool affairs. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts).
Treasurer – Executive Board Member – 1
Collect, disburse, and record all monies; submit a financial report at all Executive Board Meetings, Parent Meetings and at year-end; file official tax documents with the Federal, Local, and State Governments; Manage payroll. Attend Executive Board Meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts).
Vice President (1 per class) – Executive Board Member – 2
There is one Vice President for each class.  Create and maintain class Facebook page; help arrange programs for Parent Meetings; assist in class logistics; act as the liaison between the board, parents, and teacher; encourage class participation; send out weekly (Sundays) class email to inform about the happenings for the upcoming week. Each VP is assigned one or more of the following duties: Fundraising Committee Member, Special Events Committee Member or Enrollment Committee Member. VPs are also responsible for performing the duties of the President in her/his absence. Attend board meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts). 
Multi-Media Coordinator – Executive Board Member – 1
Provides publicity to prospective members and convenience to current members by maintaining and updating the PHCC website: phcccoop.org; keeps site running effectively; posts dates of events and any other information as requested by the board; keeps main facebook page up to date.  Assist with fundraisers and school events. Attend Executive Board Meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts). 
Fundraising Coordinator – Executive Board Member – 1
Organize fundraisers; contact businesses to request contributions; solicit volunteers to work on fundraising committees; ensure the completion of fundraisers and keep all annual fundraising documentation and records, collect monies and work with treasurer to keep accurate account of monies. Attend Executive Board Meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts).
Secretary – Executive Board Member – 1
Record all minutes for Executive Board and Parent Meetings; keep a record of all attendance at meetings; post minutes on school notice board (Google drive). Assist with school fundraisers and events. Attend Executive Board Meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts).
Membership Coordinator – Executive Board Member – 1
Handle all aspects of registration; record and organize all student records; discuss the responsibilities of a preschool parent with prospective members; coordinate open house/tours with committee members, execute registration days, and coordinate advertising for any school openings; prepare class rosters for the new school year. Attend Executive Board Meetings. Position starts in the summer. May be required to make payments for school and will be reimbursed (with submitted receipts).

Non-Board Member Positions:  The following jobs are essential to the everyday operations of the preschool.  Most positions will be executed under the direct supervision of the teacher and will be performed as needed throughout the school year.  

Substitute Teacher (3s & 4s Classes) – 4
Work as Substitute Teacher (usually in a support position, not lead) in the event that the staff member is unable to attend class. Must be willing to submit to a background check and fingerprinting and complete an online substitute teaching course. The substitute teacher will be compensated at an hourly rate.
Librarian (1 per class) – 2
Work closely with the teacher in performing all duties pertaining to the library; check out books for children; maintain inventory; mend books that need repair.
Playground Maintenance – 1
Make frequent checks of the playground equipment; make arrangements to repair broken or damaged equipment; advise the Board of Directors of any equipment that may need to be replaced; ensure there is enough mulch and that it is evenly dispersed throughout the playground; sweep the mulch from the sidewalk and parking lot back into the playground as needed. 
Mulch Maintenance – 1
Ensure that the mulch is evenly dispersed throughout the playground as needed. Sweep the mulch from the sidewalk and parking lot back into the playground as needed. Ensure there is enough mulch in the playground, let the teacher(s)/board know if more mulch should be ordered.  
Rug Maintenance – 1
Thoroughly clean (scrub, shampoo, etc.) the classroom and playroom rugs when needed. Usually at the beginning of the year, mid-year and end of the year. The teacher(s) will communicate when rug maintenance can/will take place. * Would help if you had your own steam cleaner/shampooer, but it is not necessary.  
Dress-Up Maintenance – 1
Remove, clean, repair (minimal) and rotate the dress-ups in the playroom. The teacher(s) will communicate when this is to be done throughout the school year.
Playroom Deep Cleaning – 2
Come in before or after school, 8-8:30 OR 2-2:30, bi-weekly (each family will rotate so they will each only clean about once a month) to deep clean the playroom. Duties include sweeping, mopping , vacuuming, wiping down furniture and other surfaces, etc. May also include moving some furniture.
Classroom Deep Cleaning – 2
Come in before or after school, 8-8:30 OR 2-2:30, bi-weekly (each family will rotate so they will each only clean about once a month) to deep clean the classroom. Duties include sweeping, mopping , vacuuming, wiping down furniture and other surfaces, etc. May also include moving some furniture.
Party Organizer (2 per class) – 4
Work closely with the teacher to set up for special party days: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s, Easter, Donuts with Grownups, and End of Year/Graduation; assemble games, supplies, stories, etc. to coincide with above when needed. Help conduct activities during the parties that take place in St. Michael’s Fellowship Hall (but not classroom parties).
Yearbook Historian (1 per class) – 2
Take and collect pictures throughout the school year in order to create a student yearbook. Yearbooks are created using professional websites such as Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc. Maintain a class list to note which students have/have not signed the photo release form; utilize a digital drop box or class Facebook pages for parents, grandparents, etc. to share their pictures that they take during volunteer days or other events/activities with the children. The Yearbook Historians will create a yearbook for each child in the class, as well as the teacher; Yearbooks should be ready to be distributed in May (unless discussed with parents and the teacher to be given out later). Yearbook Historians will be reimbursed (within pre-set annual budget) per student/teacher by filling out a reimbursement form with attached receipts included; any money spent over the predetermined budget is the responsibility of the Yearbook Historian (not parents). 
Slideshow Historian (4s Class Only) – 1
Take and collect pictures throughout the school year in order to create an end of the year slideshow for the Graduation Ceremony. Historians should maintain a class list to note which students have/have not signed the photo release form; utilize a digital drop box or class Facebook pages for parents, grandparents, etc. to share their pictures that they take during volunteer days or other events/activities with the children; the 4s Yearbook Historians should work collaboratively to share pictures for both Yearbook and Slideshow.
Recycling – 1
Remove the recycling from the classroom once a week or when notified by the teacher(s).
Teachers’ Helper – 1
Help the teachers with different activities/projects for the classroom, such as: cutting, assembling, etc.
Office Assistant – 1
Help the teachers where/when necessary in the office. Duties include, but are not limited to: making copies, organizing materials, stocking supplies, etc.
